“There are few things that offer me greater satisfaction than being at the wheel, throwing or turning. My work and knowledge of clay occupies a fairly narrow band of the extremely broad ceramic spectrum but that band does go deep. I have only ever used porcelain and for the most part, only two glazes. I largely make work in small batches and for these, repetition is key; but the word “repetition” belies the reality that each piece represents a separate examination of the form in question and is a nuanced response to a previous incarnation.” Over the past few years, Chris has been making non-functional, interactive installation pieces which a sense of playfulness, incorporating elements of theatre which is a nod to his previous existence as an actor. All his work is thrown Limoges porcelain which is fired in a gas kiln with tenmoku and celadon glazes.

You can choose any work with a retail price between £250 and £25,000 from our great selection of prints, paintings, ceramics, sculpture, glass and wood. It is not possible to buy gift vouchers with the Own Art Scheme.
You can borrow from as little as £250 up to a maximum of £25,000 . We then spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months with an interest free loan. For instance, if you buy a painting from us that costs £300 through the own art scheme, you would pay £30 in 10 monthly installments.
