cambridge contemporary art

Alex Nash

Alex studied Art as part of her Teacher Training. Her later qualification and experience as a horticulturist and garden designer have strongly influenced her work.

Alex spent two years on an Advanced Visual Studies Course followed by three years studying fine art under Jill Lewin at Wiltshire College. Over the past number of years, she has been attending the Printmaking Workshop in Trowbridge.

Over that time she has concentrated on exploring colour and composition using the silkscreen process.

Her work has covered the landscapes of Cornwall Norway Switzerland and Wales and the architecture of Portmeirion Umbria and Whitstable. Some of her work is purely abstract using bold flat colour.
