Melissa Choroszewska makes porcelain home decor and accessories. Her work is inspired by the countryside surrounding her home in Cornwall. The concepts of contrasts and protection are themed throughout the work.
Melissa works in porcelain and loves the semi translucent qualities of the material. She uses mother of pearl lustre to finish her pieces which shimmers and glistens creating contrast with the unglazed porcelain.
Melissa gained a degree in Contemporary Applied Arts from Hereford college of Art in 2010, shortly after she started working part time as a technical demonstrator at Plymouth College of Art, where she continues to work today.
