Stanley Dove

Stanley Dove was born in London in 1931.

He studied Shoe Design at Cordwainers College (1947–49) and then Painting & Drawing at Camden Art Centre, London (1973–78).

Stanley now lives and works in Southern England.

In 1984 Stanley discovered sculpture and began to develop a broad visual repertoire inspired by his love of myths, music, dance and nature. Stanley works both in bronze and bronze resin, producing timeless works that are suitable for indoors and outdoors.

He has received awards and commissions including 'Orpheus', a full size bronze for Richard Stilgoe's Orpheus Trust.

His work has featured in numerous exhibitions throughout the U.K. and abroad including the Musee du Cheval de Courses, Paris and the Zingaro Equestrian Threatre, Paris.
