Niki Bowers

Born in Norfolk in 1965, completed a BTEC National Diploma at Great Yarmouth College of Art followed by a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design at Canterbury College of Art (1985–88). Employed at various design companies since 1988, freelance graphic designer for the past fifteen years. Inspired by rural Norfolk – landscape and wildlife, gardens and wild places – limited edition linocut prints are created entirely by hand using linseed oil based inks.

The process of linocutting simplifies form and colour, but locations are distinct, characterised by the flora and fauna native to each place. Influences include wood engravings and texts by Clare Leighton, rural observations and writings by Ronald Blythe, and prints by Sybil Andrews and John Nash.

Prices range from: £95-£195
