Mychael Barratt

Mychael Barratt was born in Ontario, Canada.

After studying in Canada, Mychael travelled around Europe, finally settling in London in 1984, where he still lives and works.

Mychael Barratt's work draws on inspiration from sources as diverse as fairy tales and Shakespearean dramas to paintings by "Great Masters" and 1960s pop culture. Of his current work, Mychael writes: 'The titles are an integral part of the process, and narrative themes and an irreverent sense of humour run through all of my prints and paintings'.
