Jenny Portlock

Having qualified in Art, Art History and Graphic Design, Jenny was first employed as a Book Designer for Longman Pearson. Later, she became a freelance designer for Oxford and Cambridge University Presses as well as for Longman, working on books illustrated by well-known artists such as Tony Ross, Peter Firmin and Quentin Blake.

After moving to Suffolk, she started to develop her own art, firstly in linocut and later progressing to the exacting discipline of wood-engraving which has enabled her to achieve the exceptionally fine detail that characterises her work today.
