Brenda Hartill

Brenda Hartill was born in London and emigrated to New Zealand with her parents, in the late fifties.

She studied Fine Art at the University of Auckland and returned to London in the late sixties where she became a student at the Central School of Art and Design.

She expresses the form, structure, colour and textures of the world we live in, and has an abiding interest in the primeval, essential structure of the earth and its elements.

Over the years she has developed and exploited the embossing characteristics of etching and collograph.

She now shares her time between London and Gaucin, in Southern Spain.
