Dora Holzhandler

Born in Paris in 1928 to Polish- Jewish parents, Dora came with her family to live in London as a young child. These Eastern European Jewish roots, and her French origins, permeate her paintings' atmosphere to this day.

Holzhandler's paintings by their very nature contain the sparkling meditative quality, rooted invariably in her perception of ordinary daily life seen from a pristine perspective.
