Annora Spence

Annora was born in 1963. She studied printed textiles at Liverpool and Birmingham. Since 1992 she has concentrated on her original paintings. She has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad and her paintings and prints can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the world.

Many of Annora's ideas are derived from extensive travels thoughout Asia and Europe, drawing inspiration from characters and situations she encounters. She builds layers of tone and texture with a variety of media and her colour palette ranges from warm and rich to subtle and pale. Her work has a narrative quality often displaying eccentric characters and animals in comic situations.
