Anna Perlin

Anna Perlin grew up in the middle of the Oxfordshire countryside. Now based in Hertfordshire, the inspiration for her paintings comes from subjects she has a passion for and a regular theme is the British Countryside. Originally graduating in Textile Design, painting was always a passion for Anna who now paints full time and has shown her work at the Islington London Art Fair and the Mall Galleries.
Her paintings don't use a set colour palette, instead new colours are mixed for each painting as she enjoys exploring the ever changing British seasons and weather. Often free from human presence her work creates a window onto the calm and peace of the countryside.
Texture is also an important part of her paintings, and to create movement she uses a palette knife, rather than brushes, to put paint onto the canvas.
